The job:

  • Defines goals and appropriate KPIs in cooperation with specific Business Owners
  • Recommends and implements tracking and analysis methods
  • Generates ad-hoc and standard reports and provides (business) context based on agreed-upon goals and KPIs
  • Uses visualization tools for report and dashboard generation
  • Tool ownership of off-the-shelf and custom tracking and visualization solutions
  • Tool ownership consists of being an expert in tool capabilities and their application, but also includes associated monitoring and administrative tasks, such as user management, process optimization (new or more efficient ways to apply a tool) and being the interface to the tool provider

 

The profile:

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychology or equivalent)
  • Relevant work experience, preferably at least 2-3 years
  • Conducted analyses in context of e-commerce and/or marketing
  • Experience with visualization of complex data (e.g. Tableau)
  • Able to implement custom visualizations using open source libraries (e.g. D3.js, matplotlib)
  • Working experience with databases or other data sources to connect them to the visualization solutions, e.g. writing SQL queries or pre-processing scripts
  • Advanced ability to pre-process, clean and aggregate data is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Independent, precise and thorough style of working
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
